Competitive Analysis
Provides a comprehensive analysis and comparison of similar sites (public bodies, community sites etc.). Evaluation of features, technology, content, usability, and overall effectiveness to generate ndividual site analysis and comments, and final recommendations for possible implementation into the redesigned site:
User Survey
The user survey was advertised on the web site and was completed by a cross-section of our users. Due to the self-selecting nature of the respondents these results cannot be taken as statistically valid but still give useful background details. The survey ran for 3 weeks from the 2nd August 2004 and 102 returns were received.
Staff Survey
A staff survey was sent to a cross-section of our staff who have an important role in the development of the web site from senior managers to site editors. The survey ran from 30th July 2004 until 20th August 2004 and 35 returns were received.
